Warehouse Mezzanine Floors

Turn the empty air above your racking into a full second storage level, without extending the building or leasing more space.

Get a Quote

A warehouse mezzanine floor is the fastest, lowest-cost way to add usable storage area to a building you already occupy. Instead of leasing a second site or building an extension, you put the height you're already paying for to work.

Why warehouses build up, not out

Most warehouses run out of floor before they run out of height. A mezzanine reclaims that unused vertical space, turning it into a raised storage platform for stock, pallets, slow-moving lines or bulky goods.

Because an Altivo™ mezzanine is self-supporting, it doesn't rely on your building's frame, so it can usually go in while you keep operating, and come out or extend later if you move or reconfigure.

Built for how warehouses actually work

  • Load ratings matched to the goods you're storing, from light stock through to full pallet loads
  • Clear spans that suit forklift and racking layouts underneath
  • Pallet gates and rollover gates for safe loading onto the upper level
  • Compliant stairs, handrails and edge protection designed in from the start

Kitset or custom

Standard kitset footprints cover most warehouse bays and install in days with no on-site welding. Where the space, loads or access are non-standard, a custom mezzanine is engineered to your exact site.

Common questions

How much weight can a warehouse mezzanine hold?
Altivo™ mezzanines are engineered to the load rating your use requires, from lighter storage through to full palletised loads. We size the structure to the goods you're storing and the NZ Building Code.
Can I put racking or forklifts underneath?
Yes. The mezzanine is designed with clear spans and column positions that suit racking layouts and forklift access on the ground floor below.
Do I need building consent for a warehouse mezzanine?
Most commercial mezzanines require building consent. Our systems are engineered to the NZ Building Code and we provide the engineering documentation to support your consent application.
